Style Of Work
Tom Ford signature style is very simple but striking. His clothing is very bold, such as his velvet tuxedo jackets emblazoned with abstract designs and patterns. He is a man of elegance, refinement, adventure and timeless class. Ford believes that classic simplicity always works and has been proven by the sales of his collections. His suits include a fairly classic shape that gives men strong shoulders, a fitted waist, and long legs. A classic example of a typical Tom Ford suit is the ‘Windsor’ a two-button jacket with medium-wide peaked lapels and strong pagoda shoulders with roped sleeve heads which features in the James Bond movies.

Although not all of Tom Ford’s collections are luxurious evening wear, in some of his collections it features sneakers, casual-cool tennis shoes with a signature tailored charcoal grey coats. Plaid (plaid means chequered or tartan twilled cloth, typically made of wool) scarves were paired with trim, tailored suits and rich toned, wool sweaters. Sometimes he mixes his different styles together for example a very formal dark suit with sneakers and sunglasses. You never know what to expect with Tom Ford but you know that it will be bold but simple. Ford set just about every new fashion trend and succeeded in resuscitating the Gucci name. He brought back low–slung waists and patent leather in 1997. Ford also acquainted the world with killer high heels, slinky jersey dresses and form–fitting shirts.
